Regional Mathematical Olympiad(RMO)

The RMO (Regional Mathematical Olympiad) is the

second stage of India's International Mathematical

Olympiad (IMO) selection process. 

It's a 3-hour, 6-question subjective exam focused

on challenging, proof-based problems in Algebra,

Geometry, Number Theory, and Combinatorics

Conducted regionally, it identifies mathematically

talented high school students (Classes 8-12) who

will then proceed to advanced training and potentially the IMO.

Exam Structure & Content :

  • Stage: Second stage of the Indian Mathematical Olympiad.
  • Duration: 3 hours.
  • Number of Questions: 6 challenging problems.
  • Type: Subjective, proof-based questions requiring deep understanding and problem-solving skills.
